Metropolitan Works is very pleased to be partnering with the Materials KTN Design Exchange for this fascinating event as part of the London Festival of Architecture. With the emphasis on the issues associated with sustainability, natural materials are likely to play an ever increasing role in the construction industry. This single-day event will look at the opportunities offered by such diverse materials as wood, hemp, straw and bio-composites and will give an overview of the current use of natural materials in construction. The conference seeks to bring together the materials, architecture and design communities in order to stimulate discussion, transfer technology, and investigate the wider potential use of natural materials.
