Exchange Network Evening

  • Start:Wednesday 26th November, 2008 6:00pm
  • End:Wednesday 26th November, 2008 8:00pm
  • Price: Free

The purpose of Exchange is to encourage creative businesses to use University resources and to help foster greater knowledge sharing between businesses and the University
partners – London Metropolitan University, London College of Fashion, Royal College of Art, London College of Communication, and Goldsmiths College University of London.

Hosted by Metropolitan Works, monthly networking events provide a fantastic opportunity for creative businesses and professionals to network and share concerns. Each event incorporates a talk by an industry speaker followed by informal networking.

The next Exchange event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 26th November 2008 (6.00 – 8.00 pm) and will feature a talk by designers Magnus Long and Charles Trevelyan of Viable London.

Viable London was created in 2005 after the three founding members met while exhibiting independently in Milan. Realising a common sense of direction and desire for shared creativity, Magnus Long, Charles Trevelyan and Gala Wright began working together almost immediately on their first collaborative body of work.

Viable London is a design stdio internationally recognised for its creative diversity and ingenuity. Its portfolio includes the widely acclaimed Shelflife, Mekong, Standing Hanger, and the award-winning OTT Hooks.

The studio designs furniture, lighting and products as well as conceptual installations and exhibitions, working both with industry and on private commissions.

This event is FREE to attend and refreshments will be provided.
