When starting your own business, apart from coming up with a great idea, there are certain steps that you need to take. You will need to decide on an appropriate structure whether it is self employment, limited company or limited liability partnership, and you will have certain obligations to register and report on the money that you make. Once you are trading, you will probably want to keep track of your incomings and outgoings so that you can better monitor and grow your business. This session looks at the basic requirements for setting up a business from a tax perspective, and shows how to track your progress with ‘Sydney’s Instant Bookkeeping Lesson’.
