Metropolitan Works’ Creative Dialogue series aims to promote discourse amongst London’s creative community. Each event incorporates a talk by a guest speaker, followed by informal networking.
The August event will feature a talk by guest speaker Michael Marriott. Michael Marriott set up his own studio in 1993 after graduating from the Royal College of Art. The majority of his early projects were furniture ones; auto-batch-production and occasionally commissions.
Soon after Michael started to design for manufacturers, completing his first commission for SCP in 1996.
Since establishing his studio, Michael has tackled an extensive range of exhibition design projects, often working in collaboration with graphic designers. He has also completed a number of specially commissioned installations, which typically use a gallery environment to exhibit and discuss issues to do surrounding the design and production of things.
