Traditional Workshop Safety Inductions

Each three hour session will cover the operating principles of the workshop including basic safety procedures, machine operation (how to change blades and set machinery guards etc.) and protocols for the use of the building. Metropolitan Works’ impressive first floor workshop contains a range of quality machinery complemented by communal workbenches. Machinery includes; • thicknesser • lathe • morticer • table saw • dimension saw • band saw • pillar drill • radial arm saw • surface planer • spindle moulder • bobbin sander • disk sander • belt sander

Pre-requisites

At the end of the session, individuals will be assessed on each machine, and will be granted access accordingly.
