Pay and Go

Access to The Cass’ Jewellery workshops and Laser Welding is available through the Pay&Go scheme. Pay&Go is aimed at designer makers, recent graduates and other jewellery practitioners and is an affordable way to access excellent facilities.

Pay and Go Jewellery

In a fully equipped, supervised workshop, skills can be developed, materials can be explored and designs or special projects realised. A good knowledge of jewellery techniques and processes is required as this is not a taught workshop.

Participants must provide their own hand tools, metal, consumables (for example polishing mops for the pendant motor) and safety glasses. Some basic consumables can be bought from the technical staff on the day.
Your first session will include a health and safety induction to the workshop and related equipment.

Pay & Go Laser Welding

The latest laser technology offers an ideal tool for filling porosity in castings; making chain and setting from the back without risk to the gem stones or for repairs.

To use the laser welder, a knowledge of metal and jewellery techniques is required as is an induction to the laser equipment.
